Q. HOW WAS ASTROLO-CHI® CREATED?
Astrolo-Chi® was developed in 1999/2000 by Daniel Lally and Jeff Baugher. Follow this link for more information.
Q. HOW DO I USE ASTROLO-CHI®?
First, learn the Astrolo-Chi® movement for your sun (birth) sign, and practice it regularly. Second, when the movement for your sun sign feels comfortable and familiar, start cross-training it with its opposite, i.e. Aries/Libra, Taurus/Scorpio, Gemini/Sagittarius, Cancer/Capricorn, Leo/Aquarius and Virgo/Pisces. Third, regularly do all 6 pairs of movements and notice which movements feel familiar/unfamiliar, and practice the pairs regularly until both sides feel more balanced and even-keeled. AM and PM workouts on our video can help you to familiarize yourself with all these forms. Fourth, begin to use the movements to anchor your awareness of the new and full moons with the videos on our home page. And finally, in the hands of a skilled astrologer, Astrolo-Chi® can help you to embody and develop a deeper awareness of astrological transits, aspects and progressions.
Q. DOES ASTROLO-CHI® HAVE BENEFITS SIMILAR TO TAI CHI AND CHI GONG?
Yes. The movements are slow and fluid, unifying breath, mindfulness and movement. The main difference is that the movements have no martial arts applications, and are not based on natural imagery per se, but are based on the 12 signs of the western Zodiac. Each sign "rules" or embodies certain body parts more than others, and the movements reflect the spirit or essential meaning of each sign. As a form of chi gong, with Astrolo-Chi®you can think about the body parts associated with each sign as you do the movement, and chi will move into and empower those areas. Or you can do the movements in mindfulness or reflecting about your astrology, and notice what comes to mind. In any case, the movements are slow, fluid, relaxed and powerful, and not to mention fun and easy to learn.

Yes, once you have learned the movements through coaching, workshops or video.
Q. WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR CERTIFICATION?
Certifications are based on competence: you demonstrate that you understand and can both do and verbally instruct the movements (according to our video.)
Q. CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS?
Astrolo-Chi® certifications are generally held one-to-one, but can also be held in groups. We can travel to your area, or you may come to us. We offer 3 levels of certification, and we recommend that you wait a period of at least 6 months between levels. To keep the cost down, we encourage folks to split the cost among several instructors. If you enter our certification program before March 1, 2010, you will receive special discounts on certification.
LEVEL 1: Beginner's Astrolo-Chi® - a weekend workshop, where at the end you can test to demonstrate that you are familiar with and can teach the pairs of movements. Upon testing, you are authorized to teach or use Astrolo-Chi® in movement classes or your astrology practice. Cost: $500 + our travel expenses, i.e. 10 participants=$50 per person.
LEVEL 2: Advanced Astrolo-Chi® - a weekend workshop to master Astrolo-Chi®'s long forms with Daniel Lally OR working with Jeff Baugher to use Astrolo-Chi® with your astrology clientele. Cost: $1000 + our travel expenses, i.e. 10 participants=$100 per person.
LEVEL 3: Astrolo-Chi® Trainer - working as a teaching assistant at our workshops and receiving supervision as you polish your leadership skills, culminating in authorization to train and certify others. Time and Formats vary. Cost: $1000.
Certifications are renewable annually for a $50 fee, and occasionally continuing education workshops will be offered.

About Us
Jeff Baugher - Born August 17th, 1951 in Louisville, KY, Jeff is co-creator of Astrolo-Chi®. He has been a full-time astrologer since 1996, belongs to the Organization for Professional Astrology and is also a member and past president of the Astrological Society of Kentucky. Jeff's gift with astrology is the ability to present information about cycles in a simple way that is easily understood by anyone. He has been certified as a Shadow Work® Group Facilitator and as a ShadowWork® Coach since 2003. His talents with ShadowWork® allow him to work with individuals and groups in an experiential way that brings new perspectives and avenues to transformation and healing. Jeff holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, and has worked extensively in the engineering and computer fields including positions with the U.S. Navy and Eastman Kodak. Daniel Lally - Daniel Lally is co-creator of Astrolo-Chi®. He is a friendly guide on the road to self-discovery, helping everyone tap into their body's wisdom. Born in 1964, after graduating from Notre Dame in 1987, in 1990 he became a student of chi gong, and throughout the 90's he completed certifications in several holistic modalities. In 1999 with Jeff Baugher he co-created Astrolo-Chi®. Since 2000 he has also been an active member of The Mankind Project, and in 2003 he graduated from the 420 hour Hakomi® Body-Centered Psychotherapy.
